CDM Non-Notifiable Services
The Construction (Design and management) Regulations 2007 apply to all construction projects. However, the Regulations define two types of project; Non-Notifiable and Notifiable.
For more information upon the CDM Regs 2007 please click here.
Non-notifiable projects can still be of a high risk nature despite the reduced time on site. Complex structural alterations and large demolition projects can be undertaken in significantly less than 30 days.
Clients still have legal duties to comply with but can often find it daunting due to a lack of knowledge or time. The Clients duties on Non Notifiable CDM projects can be seen on the left hand side of the table by clicking here.
PRM offer a service to Clients undertaking projects which fall into the Non-notifiable category (less than 30 days on site).
PRM offer the following as the Non-notifiable Service to assist Clients in their obligations under CDM 2007:
• Making the Client aware of their duties;
• Assisting the client to comply with his/her duties;
• Checking the competencies of contractors and designers;
• Working with the Client to produce and distribute Pre-Construction Information to the Contractors and Designers;
• Working with Designers and Contractors to ensure safety in design;
• Checking the Contractors management arrangements are sufficient and that there are adequate welfare arrangements on the project from day one.
